T R I A L S

We run 3 different types of trials
Fun Trial run by GSBDA. Training event not formally sanctioned by NSTRA. No Points, often trainee judges. FUN!
Amateur Trial  sanctioned by NSTRA for Amateur points. Dogs with less than 4 Open points are eligible. No first places in OPEN.
OPEN - Any pointing breed. Compete for OPEN championship points.
Single – One day –usually one field
Single/ single or S/S One trial each for 2 dayswp9baaa67e.pngDouble – two trials on one day (DBL) Two Fields
Double Double (DBL/DBL) 2 trials (2 each day for 2 days.)
“NSTRA TRIAL” any trial sanctioned by NSTRA. Could be 2 and/or 3 above with any of the 4 frequencies listed above.

Amateur Field Trial - open to any dog that has with less than 4 points in NSTRA OPEN. This is for novice handlers and dogs and is designed for people and their dogs to have the opportunity to start field trialing. You must be a NSTRA member to participate. Any points acquired will count toward NSTRA AMATEUR Championship. A different level than OPEN

Fun Trial entry form is in the  Newsletter or click on link above. You Can enter more than once.  Entry fee is $30.  You must be a club member to run in a fun trial and a NSTRA member to run in NSTRA trails
Note:  We must get Fun Trial entries 3 weeks AHEAD so we know how many  birds to order. So don’t wait or you won’t get in. Enter now or as soon as you can. Don’t wait. It is also a good idea to enter the NSTRA trials early  because they fill up fast
